Tirza Sumitro

I started my career as a mechanical engineer developing medical device products. I truly enjoyed the design and development process because I could see how my ideas evolved and came alive as a product. It was very rewarding to see the product I designed helped improve people’s lives. But soon enough, I became disappointed whenever I received feedback that users were finding it difficult to use or using it wrong.

As I learned more, I realized that to come out with a good design it needs to have a design intent. And that intent should be to solve users’ needs. By marrying my passion for designing beautiful things and my logical and analytical approach, I hope to generate solutions and create positive impacts for others.
